[DevTools Bug]: Firefox devtools extension doesn't work with React 19

Repro steps

I am using React 19 for my project and when I tried to access the components and profiler in Firefox. I got the following message:

Unsupported React version detected

This version of React DevTools supports React DOM v15+ and React Native v61+.

In order to use DevTools with an older version of React, you'll need to [install an older version of the extension](https://reactjs.org/blog/2019/08/15/new-react-devtools.html#how-do-i-get-the-old-version-back).

However the same works in Chrome with Devtools version: 6.1.1 (2/7/2025)

I have provided a sample project from the vite react template where this could be reproduced (as I was working on localhost) stackblitz link

Exactly the same problem on Firefox, while on Chrome it seems to work.

In the meantime you can use this version of the React DevTools Firefox extension* via "Install Add-on from file".

it is not working with firefox 115.24.0esr

(I'm assuming that "not working" in your case means that you're not able to install it).

The CI artifacts are unsigned. For security reasons Firefox doesn't allow you to install unsigned extensions. You can either sign it yourself, or switch to using Firefox Developer Edition, which does allow you to install unsigned extensions.

I am sorry for not being precised. What I ment by saying "not working" was that this version of dev tools can't be installed on firefox 115.24.0esr because I got message that it is not supported for this browser version. I can't update browser on my pc.

Ah I see. I'm afraid I can't help with that. Firefox Developer Edition can be installed alongside other versions, though.
