That's the only guard function I know of and it's the one you linked to in your SO question.

I've discovered that you can disable by using the react.min.js but using this the propType validation will not be done. I only need to disable the guard but not the propType validation.

@totty90 In React 0.9 you shouldn't have any problem with the guard in either version. You should do development with unminified react.js and production with react.min.js; the former has helpful warnings while the latter has extra performance optimizations.
