The Installation while well detailed can be overwhelming and seems fragile. For someone who tries to "just test" it

A docker Image preferably with a docker-compose.yml available and or instructions to build your own image.

In general, the idea seems amazing.

docker image for the development environment is a cool idea for sure!

in the meantime, if you want to just test the app, you can download our official release here

releases are currently being pushed to a different repo but will soon be migrated here

that sounds cool, thanks!
But what about an actual release?

For me it would be more logical to have this setup be more of a web-based application that runs e.g. on a high performance Ai server at home as a service that would not need any direct internet access (Uninterested in the Google / Web Integration but more on tool usage someday later) and we can access it locally via e.g. sen.example.com (if he user were to set up an addtional reverse proxy etc.

Does the future release consider such usecases or plans to implement them?

We haven't really thought about a web based architecture for production yet as we plan to keep both the client and the server running on one device for comfort of the user. So, we aim to mirror the architecture used for production with the one present in this repository

But having an alternative way to self host Sentient is a good idea though it might not be our top priority as of now. Still, we will surely think on this

For now keeping this issue open for further discussion
