Firewall Enable toggle does not change to green when clicked - Opensnitch 1.6.7 on Ubuntu 22.04

Upon installing and opening the app I see no log entries in the events tab. I open the firewall dialog with the shield icon in the upper left portion of the Opensnitch screen and I see a red toggle with the switch all the way to the left. I want to enable this but when I click the toggle button the UI does not respond (no error message, no change).

Everything else seems to function except that the firewall cannot be enabled.
