Currently columns cannot be sorted using vimium (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/vimium/dbepggeogbaibhgnhhndojpepiihcmeb), because there is no anchor to select. This trivial change makes the elements that change the sort order selectable with vimium, and possibly other browser extensions.
