Dll injection doesn't work / Elaborate on executing process

Hello! Could you please elaborate on how to properly inject theme customizer?

1. I execute dll-injector.exe "Fiddler.exe" my_path_to_fiddler-customizer.dll when Fiddler Classic is running.
2. Fiddler still has default "white mode".

I reloaded the application and reran the command but to no avail.

The options I tried to run:

OS is Win10 x64 if it matters.

Fiddler: v5.0.20253.3311 for .NET 4.6.2

64-bit AMD64, VM: 57.0mb, WS: 95.0mb
.NET 4.8 WinNT 10.0.19045.0

Also I tried running:

• both cmd and fiddler on behalf of admin
• cmd as admin and fiddler as ordinary user

Hey, the correct way to run the injector (assuming you're using the injector from the loadlib-dll-injector project) would be dll-injector.exe "Fiddler.exe" "<DLL path>", I just re-tested it on Fiddler Classic version 5.0.20253.3311 (also on Windows 10 x64) and it works fine for me.

The CLR targeted .NET Framework version is 4.6.1. I think this version has been picked because the previous latest Fiddler Classic build was targeting it, now it seems to be 4.6.2. This shouldn't cause any issues though since newer runtimes should be backwards compatible.

What surprises me is that the injector continued executing even though you've entered invalid file paths before, this shouldn't happen at all and I'll quickly implement additional validation checks.

Perhaps a failed execution with an invalid file path caused issues with the running process under PID 42848 which led to the only correct execution following afterwards to fail as a result. Would you be able to try again using the latest version of the injector that just got released and using the dll-injector.exe "Fiddler.exe" "<DLL path>" format? Also make sure that no services are interfering with the injector, both anti virus software and certain anti cheats quickly recognize and flag common injection methods. You could also try to use another injector instead.

No, it doesn't work with the latest dll-injector as well. Defender is turned off for it. No antiviruses. Fiddler version and all the other specs are the same. If you need additional info let me know.

I'll try another injector perhaps, but you claim it works on your machine, so I think the current one should be sufficient.

Hey, would you be able to check the modules of the process (for example using System Informer) after the injection to see if fiddler-customizer.dll is listed? Also is uxtheme.dll present in System32?
