How to create or modify a library stored on the GLPI repository

Pre-conditions

  • You have the admin role (see How to manage roles).

  • Your display shows the drawing pane : you have clicked on "Drawing Pane"

Steps

  1. Create a new library or modify an existing one

    Make your choice at the bottom of the side panel :

    Choose Create library or Open library from

  2. Select the "Central repository" option.
    So, your library will be saved in a GLPI table, with other configuration parameters, and it will be loaded automatically in the side panel for every user.

  3. For a library creation, fill in the library's name that will appear in the side panel, then click "Save" Fill in library name

  4. For a library modification, select the library's name in the list, then click "OK" Select library name

  5. Add a new shape to the library : select one shape on the drawing pane and click on the "plus" sign of the library's header

  6. Click on the "pen", at the right of the "plus" sign.

  7. You must assign a unique name to your new shape, by clicking on the greyed "Untitled" at the bottom of the shape.
    In this window, you can also move your shape in your preferred sequence, by dragging and dropping the shape as you want, or you can even delete it by clicking on the "X" sign

  8. Fill in a unique name among the library's shapes and click "OK"

  9. Click "Save" to close the library shapes window of step 7.

Post-conditions

You have created or modified your library of graphical shapes
