eozMP is a desktop music player for Windows. It organizes your music by artist and album, shows covers and synced lyrics, and can find and download music through Soulseek.
- Your library, tidy: Artist → Album, with covers, numbers and years; collaborations filed under the first artist
- Lyrics: synced lyrics that follow the song (from
.lrcfiles, the song's tags or lrclib.net), or add your own - Fullscreen player: big cover and controls on the left, lyrics on the right, over a moving blurred background
- Mini player: small always-on-top window with the lyric line, seek bar and volume
- Playlists, queue panel, favorites, shuffle and repeat (previous always goes back to the song you heard)
- Browse by genre and decade, search artists / albums / songs, listening stats
- Soulseek (through slskd): search, download albums or whole discographies, auto-organize downloads
- Make it yours: themes, accent colors (even from the album cover), fonts, lyric styles, visualizer, equalizer
- Sound (with mpv): gapless playback, ReplayGain, output device and exclusive mode
- Media keys, system tray, drag and drop, backup and restore
- Steadier: a mistake in one feature no longer closes the player (it is written to
.simple_music_player_crash.log) - Space plays and pauses again after you click around; it only presses a button you reached with Tab
- Duplicate finder is safer: the same file seen through two paths isn't a copy, copies keep their folders, playlists and favorites follow the copy that stays
- TV and phone: a TV that refuses a song gives the sound back to the PC, the TV gets volume and seeking, the remote isn't left open after casting
- Backup restore keeps this PC's own program and network settings
- Smaller memory use, readable links on the light theme, long wishlists searched in turns
- 12 languages: the whole app in English, Türkçe, Español, Deutsch, Français, Português, Русский, العربية, 中文, हिन्दी, 日本語 and Bahasa Indonesia (and lyrics translated into them, line by line)
- One-click installer that asks step by step, includes slskd and sets up your Soulseek login for you
- Phone remote: scan a QR code and control eozMP from your phone, or listen on the phone itself
- Play on a TV or speaker (DLNA / UPnP: smart TVs, Sonos...)
- Windows media controls: song and cover in the volume flyout and on the lock screen, headset buttons
- Last.fm scrobbling and similar artists
- Fix tags and cover from MusicBrainz, recognising songs by their sound (AcoustID)
- Audio quality check finds fake 320k / FLAC files; find a better copy on Soulseek replaces them
- Missing songs of an album, duplicate finder, moods (Calm / Energetic / Night)
- Soulseek wishlist, trusted users, new releases from your artists
- Fluid fullscreen background, and repeat this song now restarts the song on Next
Get eozMP-Setup-1.4.exe from the latest release and double-click it. Setup asks
step by step what to install (eozMP, Soulseek support, VLC for the equalizer, a desktop shortcut) and, if you want
Soulseek, your Soulseek name and password, then sets everything up. No Python needed.
Windows may show a blue "Windows protected your PC" box because the app is new and unsigned:
click More info → Run anyway.
- Install Python and tick Add Python to PATH in the installer.
- Download this repository (green Code button → Download ZIP) and extract it.
- Double-click
build_exe.bat. It installs everything and putseozMP.exeon your Desktop. - Optional: with Inno Setup 6 installed,
build_setup.batbuilds the installer too (it downloads slskd and fpcalc once).
Translations live in eozmp_lang.py, generated by tools/make_translations.py (hand fixes go in
tools/overrides.json).

eozMP is free software, released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (see LICENSE). You can use, change and share it; if you share a changed version, it must stay under the same license with its source code available. It uses other open-source projects, listed in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.
eozMP is not affiliated with Soulseek, slskd, VLC, Apple, MusicBrainz, AcoustID, Last.fm, Google or lrclib. Soulseek is a file-sharing network: only download music you have the right to download. The software comes with no warranty.
