Installation Guide

Welcome to Tinkerpad! This guide will walk you through the steps to download and install Tinkerpad on your machine. Currently, Tinkerpad is available for MacOS and Linux. Unfortunately, a Windows release is not planned at this time.

Download Tinkerpad

1. Visit the Releases section of the Tinkerpad repository.
2. Download the latest version of Tinkerpad.

Install on MacOS

1. Open the .dmg file:
   Locate the downloaded .dmg file and double-click to open it.

2. Drag Tinkerpad to Applications:
   Drag the Tinkerpad icon into the Applications folder to install it.

3. Run Tinkerpad:
   Open the Applications folder, locate Tinkerpad, and double-click to launch the app.
   If you see a security warning, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy and allow Tinkerpad to run.

Install on Linux

1. Install the .deb file:
   Locate the downloaded .deb file and follow instructions to install.
2. or Run the .AppImage file:
   Locate the downloaded .AppImage file and make it executable before running it.

Verify Installation

Once Tinkerpad is installed, you can verify that it’s working correctly by launching the app. You should see the Tinkerpad interface, ready for you to start coding!

Troubleshooting

MacOS Security Warnings

If you encounter a security warning when trying to open Tinkerpad, follow these steps:

1. Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy.
2. Under the General tab, click Open Anyway next to the Tinkerpad warning.
