entire enable should auto detect claude/gemini cli session

Problem or use case

As of now entire enable needs to be executed outside the claude/gemini cli session. As a result of the default behaviour it automatically defaults to claude code and creates .claude folder. Unless the user runs entire enable with force flag to gemini, it wont change.

Suggestion is to change this approach. Make changes in the entire cli si that the user runs the entire commands and enables it inside claude/gemini session.

entire enable will automatically detect whether the cli session is claude or gemini and accordingly create the hooks for the respective ai coding assistant.

This will get increasingly complicated when more agents get added :)

I guess for the really short term we can autodetect, and preference claude if there are both on the PATH...but I'm wondering if the eventual solution is a menu picker, even though it adds an additional point of friction in the flow.

@jayanth-iyer what are your thoughts?

@qasimkhan628 yes, if you could, keep in mind we'd like to:

• keep things as simple and frictionless as possible for the user to install the cli
• handle the case where both agents are on the PATH
• maybe handle the future expansion case

@khaong I do agree that it might get complicated, preference will be for simplicity, I like menu picker, but yes cost will have to be paid (friction).
Everything has a cost, me using this in Gemini CLI , I had to run the enable command with force flag.

The reason why I came up with this feature , is because I DO NOT refer documentation first. I explore the rool, mae mistakes and then go to documentation🙂
So what happend is i enabled entire, outside the Gemini session, even docs say the same - found out later.l, and entire defaults to Claude Code - and rightly so. This I missed. And then I opened Gemini CLI session did some brainstorming about an idea and committed - just to see what does entire do. That when I found out nothing has been captured by entire

Hence I felt autodetection is necessary, because as a user I either open Claude Code or Gemini CLI first, entire comes second.
