lgtm but do you think this mode is important enough to justify a size test? Both in terms of the mode being rarely used, and focusing on legacy support at all costs (even when it adds size).

Ok I'll close this. I was just going some work that effected this code and wanted to know how it effected code size, but I guess we don't need to track that in this way. |
