From Montevideo, Uruguay. I write Python for a living and spend most of my free time doing the same thing.
I'm currently focused on creating and maintaining DBWarden, a SQLAlchemy-native database control system. The idea is that your models already define your schema, so they should be the source of truth for migrations too. Still iterating on it. Check https://dbwarden.org.
I also lead LibreCourseUY, an open source organization trying to grow the OSS culture in Uruguay.
I'm also developing rypipe, a file type and schema agnostic ingestion engine, basically a parser framework, wrote in Rust and that exposes a Python API (because ETL is easier in Python).
Trustsight is another tool I'm working on. It's an AUR triage tool for PKG-BUILD-related attacks. Also working on it's harness for bypass detection! Check everything in https://trustsight.org.
Created seoslug and tagurl for easy SEO handling, combining deterministic SEO schemas and tokenization for URL canonization.
My main stack is Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, ClickHouse, Docker and PostgreSQL. I feel confident enough to say i know Django, C++ and JS/TS, and understand Rust and Go. I self-host everything on a VPS because I like understanding what's actually running. Arch Linux btw :D
Most of my work is related to Backend development and Data Engineering/Science, with a focus on developer lifecycle, performance, security, and correctness.
I learn by building things, breaking them, and figuring out why. It's slow but it sticks.
