Blocked invites don't go away immediately

Steps to reproduce

1. Receive and view an invite.
2. Click Block
3. Click Decline Invite
4. Wait five minutes and hard refresh the page.

Outcome

What did you expect?

The invites are gone.

What happened instead?

Some of the five invites I received today are still present.

I've got the same issue with Element Desktop 1.11.100. It's extremely offending to people.

I had the same issue (with very similar spam). Going to Settings -> Help & About -> Advanced Settings and clicking on "Clear cache and reload" solved the issue for me.
