Media preview settings were reset to defaults

Steps to reproduce

1. Previously have set a custom setting for Hide avatars of room and inviter and/or Show media in timeline
2. Open Element
3. Notice that the settings are back to defaults.

Outcome

What did you expect?

The settings should remain the same.

What happened instead?

The settings changed.

I'm not afflicted personally, but tracking for others. I will own this issue as I probably wrote the bug.
