Soft crash trying to move to login from logged out room view

Steps to reproduce

1. Go directly to a private room URL as a logged out user, such as https://develop.element.io/#/room/!ZOemCyGLKwAmiSiJOt:matrix.org
2. The room view shows sign in / sign up buttons
3. Click either button

Outcome

What did you expect?

I expected to see the sign in / sign up flows.

What happened instead?

The entire app soft crashed.
