Updating room topic breaks room avatar preview in settings

1. Go to the settings for a room where you are admin
2. Update room topic
3. Click "Save"

This is on staging.element.io

The room avatar only disappears in the Room Settings modal. The rest of the app is unaffected and still shows the room avatar correctly.
