As per https://github.com/electron/apps/blob/master/contributing.md#company-logos-and-names --
If Cassandra has given you permission to use that name, please provide that information in the PR so that the app's name can be used as-is. Otherwise,
Please do not directly use another company's name or product without permission. It's generally better to refer to it in a dependent clause; for example, after "compatible with", "on", or "for."
For example, while we would not accept a third-party app named "GitHub Notifications", we would consider "Yourname Notifications for GitHub".

yes i got the permission from dev@cassandra.apache.org to use name but like "XXX for Apache Cassandra" so as of now my app name is cass and main title I have changed as suggested by Apache Team. Thanks @ckerr |

"Cass" is clearly derived from "Cassandra" but IANAL and don't know if it's close enough to count as part of the same trademark, and I don't want to have to make that guess.
Could you please confirm that they approved not just "XXX for Cassandra" but specifically the name "Cass"?
