Milestone
Description
Kibana version:
7.9-BC1
Elasticsearch version:
7.9-BC1
Original install method (e.g. download page, yum, from source, etc.):
Cloud
Describe the bug:
When you create a visualization in Metrics Explorer and the click on "Open in Visualize", the resulting page displays an error in the chart and all the field drop downs are empty. This happens when you've index data using Metricbeat and you only have data for metricbeat-* but the index pattern in "Metrics UI" is set to metrics-*,metricbeat-*.
Steps to reproduce:
- Set up a new cluster on cloud
- Run Metricbeat locally and ship your data to the cluster in the previous step
- Open Metrics Explorer
- Click on the "Action" menu and choose "Open in Visualize"
Expected behavior:
It should create a chart that's ALMOST identical to the chart in Metrics Explorer.
