We currently support marking data views as "managed", indicating that they are generated and managed by Kibana as opposed to being controlled by users. So far this has been more of an implementation detail to support internal logic, but this information can also be relevant to users to help them understand which data views are theirs vs the system's. We should consider surfacing this somewhere in the UI, possibly as a badge within the Data Views management pages.
