Describe the feature:

In the current implementation of the range slider, the step of the UI is linked with the step of the input numerical controls at a value of 1. This makes them inadequate for fields with a smaller domain, say between 0 and 1.

Describe a specific use case for the feature:

Given the slider is already aware of the maximum and minimum values of the field, I would expect it to offer steps following that domain to have at least 5 or 10 steps between those boundaries. Ideally also the same for the numeric inputs.
