Anyone with a Github can propose edits via pull requests to avoid any errors on the final html.
- Log into or create a GitHub Account at https://github.com/
- Fork the Ego4D website repository found here: https://github.com/EGO4D/EGO4D.github.io
- Clone the forked repository locally.
- Make the changes you wish to make in your forked repository, commit and push these changes
- Go to the original Ego4D website repository and click on the pull request tab at the top (https://github.com/EGO4D/EGO4D.github.io/pulls). Then, click the New pull request button.
- Click compare across forks to be able to select your repository.
- Select your repo and branch which you committed to under head repository: and compare:. Note that the base repo MUST be EGO4D/EGO4D.github.io and the base branch MUST be dev.
- Write a title - including the name of the partner, and description for your changes. For example: Title - Bristol, Description - "Update personal websites for collaborators".
- Submit your pull request using the Create pull request button.
- We will review and merge these into the live version.
We would very much appreciate if you accumulate updates from all members of your team and submit one pull request for weblinks for all the names. Similar to the example by Bristol, you can:
-
enter a link for your university University of Bristol, UK
<a href="https://www.bristol.ac.uk/" ><i class="fas fa-link"></i ></a>
-
enter a link for each researcher - you can use a weblink, LinkedIn, or other social media. I have put 3 examples here, but it would be great if you put a max of 2 per name.
Dima Damen (PI) <a href="http://dimadamen.github.io/" ><i class="fas fa-link"></i ></a> <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/dimadamen/" ><i class="fab fa-linkedin"></i ></a> <a href="http://twitter.com/dimadamen" ><i class="fab fa-twitter"></i ></a>
Please do not put a hyperlink under the full name, just use the icon as with the example in the image
- if there are any errors in people’s names, please fix.
