Bfdd control

bfdd-control utility

The bfdd-control is a FreeBSD application that communicates with the bfdd-beacon when it is running. See bfdd-control manpage for a list of possible commands.

Communication

See also the Communication section of the bfdd-beacon page as well as the bfdd-control manpage. Communication is (currently) via unsecured TCP. The addresses and ports used for communication are configurable, see the bfdd-control manpage and bfdd-beacon manpage for more details. This allows, for example, making repeated bfdd-control calls, such as a "monitoring" script, while keeping other channels open for control and configuration.
