Improve editor selection and tool workflows

Summary

• persist project configuration inside .map files with recovery and history support
• synchronize brush and face selection with the texture panel
• add 3D edge picking with a constant two-pixel highlight
• render a solid transform gizmo and move selected faces independently
• support Option-click face selection in polygon edit mode
• center new brushes from the other orthographic views
• make tool option panels opt-in on a second click with a visible chevron
• add release notes and regression coverage
