Oooohhhh...

I should probably take down that cargo install from README...

So, Rostra web-ui comes with bunch of assets for the UI:

rostra web-ui --help

...

      --assets-dir <ASSETS_DIR>    Root directory of the assets dir [env: ROSTRA_ASSETS_DIR=]

The defaults are pointing at the build time directory holding them:

2025-02-10T21:59:57.841401Z  INFO rostra::web_ui: Loading assets dir=/tmp/cargo-installjh5Klb/release/build/rostra-web-ui-e6b2583679e2b6cf/out/assets

which I guess cargo install immediately threw away.

On Nix, the package bundles them properly, so everything works. I expected every package manager etc. to take care of bundling these the way they desire.

For cargo install, …
