DotNetBoost

Open-source libraries that help .NET developers build web apps faster — starting with a Database Settings Manager, with more tools on the way.

DotNetBoost

Open-source libraries that help .NET developers build web apps faster.

DotNetBoost is a growing collection of lightweight, focused libraries for the .NET ecosystem. Each one targets a common piece of boilerplate that slows teams down — so you can spend less time re-solving the same problems and more time shipping features.

📦 Libraries

Library Description Status
Settings Manage application settings directly from your database, with a clean API for reading, updating, and caching config values at runtime. ✅ Available
Multilingual Simplify localization and multi-language support in .NET web apps. ✅ Available
Media Upload a file once and know what it is, where it is and what it belongs to. Bytes on local disk, Azure Blob Storage or Amazon S3; every upload recorded in two tables, whatever entity it is attached to. ✅ Available

More libraries are planned — this list will keep growing.

🚀 Why DotNetBoost?

  • Focused — each library solves one problem well, instead of trying to be a framework.
  • Practical — built from real-world needs in .NET web development.
  • Lightweight — minimal dependencies, easy to drop into existing projects.
  • Actively growing — new tools are added as common pain points come up.

  • sample Public

Three DotNetBoost libraries — Settings, Media and MultiLingual — composed into one .NET 10 product catalogue with zero references between them. Vertical slices without MediatR, a Nuxt 4 RTL-aware dashboard, and a test suite that asserts the independence rather than claiming it.

  • media Public

Upload a file once. Know what it is, where it is, and what it belongs to — forever. Media storage and metadata for .NET: local disk, Azure Blob Storage or Amazon S3, on SQL Server, PostgreSQL, SQLite or MongoDB.

  • multilingual Public

Serve your .NET content in every language, from the entity classes you already have — one attribute, translated EF Core queries, automatic fallback. SQL Server, PostgreSQL, SQLite, MongoDB and Dapper.

  • settings Public

A strongly-typed, database-backed runtime settings manager for .NET 8 and .NET 10. Store application settings in a database instead of `appsettings.json` so they can be read and changed at runtime without redeployment — with caching, encryption, audit trail, change notifications, validation, and auto-generated REST endpoints.
