TSDoc support?

I see the DocFX is listed as being involved in the TSDoc project (https://github.com/microsoft/tsdoc#whos-involved) but I can't find any mention of it on the DocFX site or documentation.

What is the current state of support and is it something I could safely start using and then documenting if I use DocFX?

If its not currently supported what is the road map for getting support? Is there anything others can do to help bring it about?

For DocFX v2, Generate API Documentation for TypeScript refers to typedoc tool and type2docfx, rather than TSDoc. Pull request #5128 changed a template for better TypeScript support but the added features look like they could be used for other languages as well.

For DocFX v3, this repo does not seem to mention TypeScript in any way. I don't know whether Microsoft has private plugins for that.
