📓 Summary

What will the term be for the sdk/runtimes/(aspnetcore, windowsdesktop, runtime, etc) in the bootstrapper? How will it support versions? Will it support channels? What channels will it support?

Additional Context

Should versions be: Fully Specified, or just 'dotnet' for latest, or 'lts' 'stable' 'preview' for channel tracking?
It's important to consider how this integrates with the command API surfaces.
