How do I install a custom Nimble version?

Simply install the version you want using Nimble:

nimble install nimble@0.8.2

When switching Choosenim will prompt you whether you want it to override the installed Nimble:

    Prompt: Symlink for 'nimble' detected in '/home/dom/.nimble/bin'. Can I remove it? [y/N]
    Answer: n

Just answer n to keep your Nimble installation.

tar on windows fails to extract symlink out of archive

The error messages
