### Manual installation without docker-compose v1

If you do not have or do not plan to have docker-compose v1 installed, you can also install `compose-switch` directly as the `docker-compose` executable:

1. download compose-switch binary for your architecture as docker-compose
```console
$ curl -fL https://github.com/docker/compose-switch/releases/latest/download/docker-compose-linux-amd64 -o /usr/local/bin/docker-compose
```
2. make compose-switch as docker-compose executable
```console
$ chmod +x /usr/local/bin/docker-compose
```
