pdfmerge cannot deal with cross file link properly.

I have a e-book with Table of Content (TOC), each chapter, each appendix, and bibliography in separate  PDF files. 
The TOC has links to each part of the book, and each other PDF file has a label linked back to TOC.
After merging these PDF files into a single PDF using pdfmerge, all above links cannot work properly.
