As a user I would like to be able to discover annotation content and play related audio or video clips by clicking on the search result, so that I don't have to go through the annotation list to determine which one was relevant to my initial search.

Example: NYTime online database keyword search brings back newspaper articles with snippets. Clicking on the result opens the clipping with keywords highlighted.

User searches for keyword and brings back list of results in Solr. The are able to facet by content model (annotation) and return a list of just annotations.

Sorry the image doesn't match up (I don't have this configured on my local) but we wound be looking for the object to open up with the target annotation opened up. This is the view)

The clarify, the requirement is the following:

  • From the search results of set of annotations, go to the parent object
  • When the parent object opens, load the particular annotation user clicked in both image and video/audio

Dependencies:
#199
#201 (Implementing #201 should give us some better idea about going to the parent object. In this case, we would need to supply additional parameters (anno info).)

Scope:

  • Pass the anno parameter via the search results parent object link
  • Get anno parameter from url
  • Open that particular annotation

Also see IslandLives results list: http://www.islandlives.ca/islandora/solr/search/tei.fullText%253A%2528%2522lobster%2522%2529%2520AND%2520dc.type%253A%2528collection%2529/1

Click on the first result to see how pages with "lobster" are displayed on the object record.

@Natkeeran @kimpham54 Looking at the comment above #186 (comment), it appears that a similar type of functionality is desired for basic and large image annotations from search. Maybe we can split that into a new issue and close this one, since the functionality has been added for audio and video content types?
