Copilot Instructions — Zero to Hero (companion repo)

Companion repo for the video "Copilot Instructions: ZERO to HERO in 4 Levels (GitHub Copilot CLI)."

A tiny TypeScript monorepo (an api/ service + a web/ React arm) used to demo GitHub Copilot custom instructions in the Copilot CLI.

Follow along

Start from a clean slate, then climb the levels:

git checkout level-0-start   # clean app, no instructions
git checkout level-1         # + .github/copilot-instructions.md
git checkout level-2         # + .github/instructions/typescript.instructions.md
git checkout level-3         # + AGENTS.md (root) and web/AGENTS.md
git checkout level-4         # + personal-instructions example & notes
git checkout main            # everything, with the full guide

Launch the GitHub Copilot CLI in this folder with copilot and ask it to add code — watch how each level changes what it generates.
