The reason the color is set to #CF0A2C instead of #2CB134 is because the green logo represents the company, while the #CF0A2C color represents the Selenium WebDriver tool.

The wiki explains in further detail which icons are accepted and which ones aren't. One of the criteria is that only icons representing a service or tool are accepted, not the company.
