| A React component library for rendering Zarr-backed raster data on Mapbox or MapLibre maps, built around `regl`. Maintained by CarbonPlan under the MIT license. The original "dynamic client" library that informed CarbonPlan's later [zarr-layer](zarr-layer.md), and still actively maintained. |

Is it still actively maintained? It hasn't seen a commit in 7 months, and I don't see why they would maintain it now that they build zarr-layer.

@Shane98c do you mind sharing if you or others at CarbonPlan plan to maintain carbonplan/maps?

I think Shane's review of all the content here would be great!

Yeah our focus has shifted to zarr-layer development and we'll be using it for projects going forward. There's a world where zarr-layer becomes a dep of /maps which would then be used as a component library, but we don't have a timeline for this.
This guide is looking great btw!!

thanks for the reviews, folks! I think this PR is a good improvement, so I'm going to merge it in. Additional feedback is still very welcome via issues and/or PRs |
