Whole UI stretches vertically on Teclast tablet #963
Dragging a finger up or down on the Teclast tablet stretches the whole UI. It returns to its normal shape on release. This happens in both Streamline and Insight and appears limited to vertical dragging.
Versions: Decaid v0.8.7, Streamline v0.2.7, and Insight skin v0.2.7.
Expected: The interface stays stable while scrollable content scrolls normally.
Confirmed — this is the native Android overscroll stretch effect, not a Decaid layout bug.
Since Android 12, the platform replaced the old blue glow with a stretch effect that visually distorts scrollable content when you drag past the top or bottom edge. Decaid renders the skins in a flutter_inappwebview WebView, so when the skin is at its scroll limit, Android stretches the entire WebView content — which looks exactly like the whole UI stretching. It affects Streamline and Insight equally because both live in the same WebView container, and it doesn't reproduce in Tcl de1app because that's native Tcl/Tk with no WebView involved.
On Android this maps to WebView.setOverScrollMode(View.OVER_SCROLL_NEVER), which removes the stretch entirely. Adding overscroll-behavior: none to html, body in the skin CSS is not sufficient — the stretch is a native edge effect, not scroll chaining, so it has to be disabled on the WebView itself.
If anyone on a Teclast or another Android 12+ device wants to verify before then, the quickest check is whether the stretch only occurs when dragging past the top or bottom of the skin — if so, this is definitively the cause.
