explore.html?expanded=x with user file

If you specify `?expanded=x` with no file, and then try to load one via the upload widget, it displays the neighbors of `x` for a second and then everything disappears!

You have to start from scratch with the menu.

What a disappointment to be shown what you want only to have it fade away.
