Question regarding the way output data is constructed

Thanks for putting up this repo! 

Had a question; I was looking at (lines 82-92 of `peertalk.py`), and I'm not sure I follow how the keyboard command is being restructured to be sent from the Pi to the iPhone. 

I'm presuming you could do this with other data types as well? What about large data structures?
