State of Restreamer

Dear Community

As many of you noticed, there wasn't any activity in this project for a while. We did not abandon Restreamer, however we had to put any further development on hold for some time because we had to take care of our company first.

Restreamer is solely developed in our free time and also partly on company resources which wasn't possible anymore lately.

We're hoping to continue development as soon as possible. If you want to check out the latest features, please use the datarhei/restreamer:dev images, where some issues have been addressed.

Thanks for the update and for being transparent with the community. This is an important project and it would be a real shame to see it fade away.

I truly hope that in 2026 the project can continue to evolve and regain momentum.

I'm going to piggyback on the above. I just happened to stumble upon this project thanks to gemini query. My first ai question lead me to the thing I've been needing for the longest time.
