I may have lost track of a decision somewhere, so sorry if I'm repeating a conversation that's already been resolved. Do we still need this? https://github.com/datacarpentry/image-processing/tree/gh-pages/code

The only place where scripts in code are still mentioned is the Edge Detection extra episode. That page needs a few updates in general, e.g. some of the image file names need to be changed (I must have missed them in #182).

the tree.jpg file from code/02-image-basics would also need to be moved into fig, otherwise the (optional) "Comparing lossless versus lossy compression" exercise will break. nevermind, it is already in data.

Once #219 has been merged, I will open another PR to delete the code directory
