004f999 boost: drop boost threads for [alert|block|wallet]notify (Cory Fields) 0827267 boost: drop boost threads from torcontrol (Cory Fields) ba91724 boost: remove useless threadGroup parameter from Discover (Cory Fields) f26866b boost: drop boost threads for upnp (Cory Fields) Pull request description: This doesn't completely get rid of boost::thread, but this batch should be easy to review, and leaves us with only threadGroup (scheduler + scriptcheck) remaining. See below + moved StopTorControl to its original location UdjinM6@08f7169 and everything seems to be working fine, no core-dumps, no original issue either (tested mac and win).

Second commit partially reverts #822
This seems to be fine, the buttons work, they restart, everything is dandy. A core-dump does occur, and maybe there is a way to make this better, but I don't think that's a huge problem
