Problem description

It would be great to enable watch only (or receive only) wallet to make it easier for merchants to handle dash payments on a specific account (that could be for example a cold wallet).

Proposed solution

There will be a separate flavor that will not be able to create account, but to import an xpub key and will not have a way to spend, only to receive and know the current balance.

Current Behavior

Currently, dash wallet does not offer any support for interacting with cold storage or xpub.

Alternatives Considered

This functionality is available on electrum-dash, but the UI is quite complex.

I've also discussed with @HashEngineering that implementing that functionality in-app (like a secondary account) would be better, but would require deeper changes as the code is not prepared to this change.

Additional Context

I'm trying to promote the usage of Dash to some local merchants locally on Argentina, but there are some features (like this one) that are required to make it possible, and most merchants do have Android phones available.

This feature has been considered before; we will return to it once DashPay is released since the Platform has a user permission hierarchy.
