Wrong Image Color Labeled

Describe the bug

I am in the darktable view looking at an image. I use the function key to assign a color label to the image. However, the color is assigned to a different image that I am not looking at. This is intermittent.

Steps to reproduce

In my case, I have red and green color labels excluded in the view. I am looking at an image without a color label.

I push f1 to assign red.

Instead of the image I am looking at getting assigned red, and image before or after gets the assignment.

Expected behavior

darktable should assign the color label to the image showing in the zoomed image box

Hi, I think i may have found a way to reproduce.

1. Put your color label filters to exclude red and green
2. In a group of photos, you can pick one in the middle to view large
3. Use f3, for example to set a color label green on that image
4. The large image is still showing, but the thumbnail image is no longer showing
5. Now, click backspace, there will be a new image in the large image box
6. If you click f3 now on that image, it is assigning the color label to some other image

you do realize that the color label is applied to the image below your mouse cursor? if you select an image and leave your mouse cursor over it, that image will receive the label. if you select an image and move your cursor above another image, THAT image will receive the label. no, it is not configurable.

lol, that is probably what happened, I would have to say it would be better design if it did the selected photo. Thanks for info.
