I'm guessing that the current repo documentation was mostly written by Claude. While the style is a lot better than it used to be (more approachable, more explanatory, great!), it's also filled with out of date and contradictory information (not great).
For the PAI repo to be functional, the documentation has to be accurate and right now it isn't. A human who fully understands the current version of PAI's architecture has to go over everything carefully to edit all the inconsistencies, otherwise someone who is trying to understand PAI from the documentation runs into a wall, and AI will likewise be confused an so of little help.
I reiterate that starting from solid foundations is crucial.
The recent architecture changes are a good foundation to build upon. PAI seems to be coming into its own. But accurate documentation is what allows new users to get started with PAI.
