MPU and Strawberry perl on Windows

A correspondent wanted to run some of my code on a Windows machine, and after running into problems with a first attempt based around WSL managed to get further (at least as far as actually running the code) with an installation based on Strawberry perl; unfortunately this is giving broken results. The most obvious indication is in some factorizations, eg showing n = factor_exp(n) gives:

  2253281686913024 = 2^16.3.557
  2253281686913025 = 109510657

Note that LHS/RHS in hex are (8015906870000, 6870000) and (8015906870001, 6870001) respectively, even though it appears to be a 64-bit perl.

The cpan test matrix shows no results for Windows for a long time, so I don't know what to expect here; and my correspondent knows nothing of perl, so it will be difficult to debug through him. Does anyone know if MPU-0.73 passes its tests on something close to this?
