Scope Administration with Administrative Units
A ~4-minute unit companion video for module Provision and govern identities in Microsoft Entra, unit 7 — Scope delegated administration with administrative units.
The angle. A regional office needs one admin who can reset passwords there and nowhere else — but the obvious role hands them every user in the company. This video shows how an administrative unit draws that boundary, how a scoped role stays inside it, and why dropping a group into a unit is a tempting trap that scopes the group, not its members.
Done locally, before this issue: the narration script was written and fact-checked against the live Learn content and current Microsoft docs, the visual design was planned on the learn-ilt brand, and the narration was recorded in en-US-Vance (Dragon HD).
What happens next: the GitHub Copilot coding agent builds the animated body scenes from the approved script and design plan, passes the quality gates, and marks its pull request ready — which auto-renders the final MP4 on a Windows runner with real Segoe fonts. Follow the linked PR for the build.
