Slideout sidebar missing for smaller screens, creating awkward UX for users #16994
-
Currently when opening an new entry slideout, the sidebar will only show when it's container is big enough. However these options are quite important to be able to see (I feel), especially when different types are selectable for a specific entry picker and the entry type select is not accessible. Currently it defaults to the first entry type of that section too which throws a curveball when content populating. User has to navigate back to full list and switch the type currently. See my screenshots attached, is there a way we can inline it like my custom-css.png screenshot? Even a separate menu that expands with a trigger, just so it's accessible? |

As you can see, even if an entry picker field is limited to a certain entry type, when selecting a new entry it defaults to the first type regardless, I know this could be awkward to address but I think just being able to access the sidebar options is enough for most users. You can toggle the sidebar by clicking on that very top-right button within the slideout toolbar. |
