Only for compressed archive formats, obviously.
This would be useful for decompressing sounds and shaders in already-compressed BSPs to avoid caching bugs with loading these from compressed BSPs.

The current method of having different compression settings on different files is a bit convoluted (either add the folders separately, or change the settings per-file), and it'd streamline a lot if you could just right click the sound and shaders directories after adding all the files.
