I would like to re-license three-text under a more permissive license; three-text is a version of the GPL because of the inclusion of Czech, Indonesian, Macedonian, Serbian, and Slovak TeX hyphenation files. I was able to get some insight into this from the author of the Slovak (sk) hyphenation patterns, the computer scientist Janka Chlebíková, who told me that at the time many of these files were created 30+ years ago, it's possible the kinds of licenses I would consider today didn't exist, and generously granted permission to use broadly (I need to contact tex-hyphen maintainers about this)
I am leaning toward MIT because it would be the most compatible with three.js but I haven't looked into it yet, IIRC all the dependencies should be compatible, but I forget if there's anything I need to look into RE patents
