cosmovisor : error while reading upgrade-info.json

Summary of Bug

When I upgrade nodes using Cosmovisor, I got the following errors.

error while reading upgrade-info.json: open /data/node/.sifnoded/data/upgrade-info.json: no such file or directory

I downloaded manually before the chain was halted and then put it on .. cosmovisor/upgrades/0.9.1/sifnoded

Hi @anikitinDSR . I'm testing your issue.

1. What SDK version are you using?
2. Could you test with the latest (master: e0096c284a2)? Pull the latest version and run make cosmovisor? Last week we merged the new version based on file watcher.

When I use Cosmovisor, how can I choose the correct version? just use the latest on master branch?

FYI, master: e0096c284a2 doesn't work for me. upgrade-info.json wasn't created.

I think it caused by create upgrade-info.json file in default node home not custom node home directory.

I was able to reproduce and I'm pretty sure this is the issue. We will want to fix this before releasing v1.0. Thanks!

You should be able to use v0.1 in the meantime but this version will not work if auto-download is enabled and you are using Cosmos SDK v0.42 or earlier (it works with Cosmos SDK v0.42 or earlier without auto-download enabled):

go install github.com/cosmos/cosmos-sdk/cosmovisor/cmd/cosmovisor@v0.1.0

We were testing the upgrade with v1.0.0 (recently released) and it was working. @yaruwangway is doing similar tests for gaia - she will try again to replicate it.

BTW: you can test check the version you are using with cosmovisor version (new in v1.0)
