Cosmos-SDK v0.46.0-alpha3 - Account not found

Running the command bellow on v0.46.1 of the SimApp and SDK
/simd tx bank send sally "$(./simd keys show -a piet)" 10000000stake --chain-id="local" --log_level="trace"

produces this error:
Error: rpc error: code = NotFound desc = rpc error: code = NotFound desc = account cosmos1u5lata26jta2zcd8pnyvwf3sp4rt3hm3940g56 not found: key not found

I can confirm that the keys are indeed present and that they SimApp chain started correct. I created the chain based on the SimApp Readme, but whenever I try an sign no account is ever found. Doing the exact same flow on v0.45.1 works as intended.

Also I am noted this error getting logged when staring the chain.
no progress since last advance
Perhaps that might be related.

Am I missing something?

This has been solved start chain with -mode=validator as a flag.
